The Wisconsin Army National Guard has a new Deputy Adjutant General.
In Friday’s changing of the guard ceremony held at the Wisconsin Department of Army Affairs in Madison, Brigadier General Matthew Strub was installed as the new Deputy Adjutant General. Strub takes over command of the guard’s more than seven thousand citizen soldiers after the retirement of Brigadier General Joane Mathews.
General Mathews is the first female and first Native American to serve as Deputy Adjutant General of the Wisconsin Army National Guard.
