May is Water Safety Month and the YMCA of the Chippewa Valley is teaching skills to individuals of all ages on how to be safe in and around the water. To continue to teach these skills to our communities,
they need your help.
“Educating children how to be safe around water is just as important as teaching them to look both ways before they cross the street,” said Lori Kleist, Eau Claire YMCA Aquatics Director. “The YMCA teaches children of all ages and backgrounds that water should be fun, not feared, and this practice not only saves lives, but it also builds confidence.”
“To be able to continue to provide this education to the Chippewa Valley, we need individuals with a passion to impact lives to be swim instructors for the YMCA,” Kleist shared. The YMCA will train and teach their instructors. Anyone 16 years or older with a passion for kids and swimming is encouraged to apply for summer positions. CLICK HERE TO DIVE INTO MORE DETAILS
