The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire football team has announced the 2022 football schedule while the department has also announced a new radio partnership with Mid- West Family Broadcasting to air the Blugolds on WAYY Radio – Sports Talk 105.1 FM.
2022 Football Schedule
The 2022 schedule features six home games including the season opener on September 3 rd against Loras College (IA). The Blugolds first road trip will be the following weekend as they face another Iowa school, Central College.
“We are excited for the 2022 season,” said Head Coach Wesley Beschorner. “We are looking forward to
opening up at home at Carson Park, which is always electric with our fans, the students and the Blugold Marching Band.”
After a bye the third week of the season, Eau Claire will host Albion College on September 24 th and will
open Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) play the October 1 st on the road against I-94 rival, UW-Stout.
“With six home games we are thrilled to show our community WIAC football,” said Beschorner. “We
have a heck of a schedule facing many programs that have a rich history, both in and out of the WIAC.
We are looking forward to competing against top level American River Conference teams in Loras and
Central while also seeing a great Michigan team in Albion.”
All games will be on Sports Talk 105.1 FM, which is also host to the Milwaukee Brewers and Milwaukee
Bucks broadcasts. Select Blugold basketball and hockey games will also air on the station.
“The new partnership with 105.1 FM is a perfect fit for Blugold Football as they are a leader in sports
broadcasts in our region,” said Beschorner. “This is a win-win for our football program and the athletic
department.”
