One Eau Claire police officer is recovering from a broken nose and a concussion, and a second is dealing with a hand injury after they say a domestic violence suspect attacked them yesterday.
It happened while police were trying to arrest 34-year-old Steven Bruns the Third. Police say he was drunk and threatening his girlfriend, he also had a warrant out of Minnesota. As police tried to get Bruns into the squad car, he attacked the officers. Eau Claire Police say he kneed one officer in the groin, then started kicking him in the face.
Bruns was eventually brought under control and taken to jail.
