Chippewa Falls Tax Question Looks to Fund Officers

Chippewa Falls’ mayor is eyeing at least a one-million-dollar tax question for the fall.

Mayor Greg Hoffman wants to ask voters for more money to pay for more police officers. He says the city’s growth, growing demand, and the impact of inflation has the city looking for money. The mayor says he’d like to see at least one million-dollars more, but Chippewa Falls’ city council president says the referendum should be two-point-five million-dollars to cover other possible expenses.
