Former Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson won’t run for governor again this year.
The 80-year-old Republican made that announcement today, saying he made the decision after considering his family. He served as governor from 1987 to 2001. There are currently three Republicans set to try to unseat Governor Tony Evers this year.
That list includes former Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch, Wisconsin State Representative Timothy Ramthun, and former Marine Kevin Nicholson.
