Destination Reached: WI Court Adopts Political Maps

The Wisconsin Supreme Court has adopted state legislative boundaries drawn by Republicans.

Friday’s action reverses the court’s previous decision after the U.S. Supreme Court rejected Governor Tony Evers’ proposal.  On a 4-3 vote the State Supreme Court found legislative maps to be “race neutral” because GOP lawmakers didn’t consider race in drawing them.  The maps set political boundaries for the next ten years.
