A man’s arrested in Monroe after being accused of trying to stab his mother with a knife.
Police say they were called to the 900 block of 24th Street early Wednesday morning where a man was reportedly assaulting his 63-year-old mother with a knife. The woman was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries while the suspect’s brother received minor injuries. Ryan Lewis was arrested nearby about a half-hour later and charged with substantial battery with a knife.
