The Wisconsin Supreme Court asked a lot of hypotheticals during the arguments over ballot drop boxes in the state.
Lawyers for the Wisconsin Institute of Law and Liberty yesterday argued that state law does not allow for the drop boxes, and the law is clear that voters can only return their ballot. The justices asked about specific situations, including whether the mail slot at the clerk’s office would be okay for ballot returns.
The high court is expected to decide the case later this summer, long before voters head to the polls in this fall’s election.
