Eau Claire’s city council will consider an upgrade at Fire Station Number 6 tonight.
Firefighters want to add to the station to keep up with demand on the city’s south side. An upgrade at the station would allow for both more firefighters and more equipment. The city originally wanted to spend a half-million dollars on the upgrade, but the city now says that price tag has jumped to two million dollars.
