There’s a sad update to the story of a sick bald eagle found in Bay View.
Veterinarians say they had to put the bird down over the weekend. Someone brought the eagle to the Humane Society with what looked to be the bird flu. After treatments, vets say they decided to ease the bird’s suffering. DNR and animal rescuers are now watching to see if the eagle’s partner will stay in Bay View or leave.
