On Wednesday, April 07, 2022, at approximately 10:57 am, a Marshfield Police Department Detective and Police Officer contacted a 28-year-old Marshfield man while he was sitting in his semi-truck regarding an on-going investigation.
When the man was asked to exit his truck, he refused and displayed a knife in his right hand. Mutual aid was requested from nearby agencies which included Marathon and Wood County Sheriff’s Departments, Spencer Police Department and the State Patrol. A perimeter was established and negotiations were initiated with the man. At 1209 pm, the man exited his truck and he was arrested without incident.
He was transported to Marathon County Jail for charges of 10 counts of possession of child pornography and 1 count of Failure to Comply w/ officers attempt to take into custody.
