The permanent memorial for the victims of the Waukesha Christmas Parade attack will be built just south of downtown.
Waukesha’s Parade Memorial Commission yesterday said they will build the memorial to the six people killed and 60 others who were injured in the attack in Grede Park.
The park is nestled along the river, and just off Wisconsin Avenue a few blocks south from where the attack happened. The next task is to design, then build the memorial. Planners hope to have it finished by the second anniversary in November of next year.
