Some students in La Crosse are ready to ask their local school board to keep their school resource officers.
Three teens, Adam Manka, Mason Muth, and Jack Murphy, say they have 300 signatures for a petition that supports the officers. La Crosse Schools are considering a plan that would reduce the number of police officers in the city’s schools next year. The students plan to make their case for the officers at Monday’s school board meeting.
They say the officers are there to keep kids safe, and provide students someone to look up to.
