Managers at the Northern Wisconsin State Fair say they’ve raised just under five million of the six million-dollars they want to improve the fairgrounds. Manager Rusty Volk says the fundraising campaign is going ‘extremely well.’ The plan is to modernize and improve barns and other buildings on the fairgrounds.
Volk says they plan to break ground in August, just after the fair wraps-up. Construction should wrap-up next winter.
