Hwy 53 reopened after an accident shut down the road.
A pickup was struck by debris/trailer and two individuals were transported to a local hospital. The semi-tractor trailer was hauling scrap metal. The driver of semi-tractor trailer was transported to a local hospital and will be issued a citation for Failure to maintain proper control of a vehicle. The Wisconsin State Patrol is assisting the Lake Hallie Police with the inspection of the semi-tractor trailer and accident reconstruction.
