There’s another story about a failed bid to build things at Foxconn’s plant in Racine County.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel yesterday reported that Foxconn rebuffed an offer from Oshkosh Defense to build new postal vehicles at the still-empty facility in Mount Pleasant. Senator Ron Johnson is quoted as saying Oshkosh was looking to lease an existing manufacturing site, and reached out to Foxconn, but a deal never happened. Instead, Oshkosh chose to build the new mail trucks at its plant in South Carolina. Foxconn didn’t respond to the Journal Sentinel’s questions.
