Residents in Jefferson County are concerned by the lack of information provided to them regarding the disposal of three million chickens.
The chickens were ordered to be killed after the avian flu spread through a farm in Palmyra recently. Now, people living near the site where the chickens are being composted, say they’ve got questions that are being ignored by state officials. The state department of agriculture has been updating their website with information on the bird flu and have sent residents a list of frequently asked questions.
