Milwaukee’s newspaper will now be printed in Illinois.
The Journal Sentinel’s parent company, Gannett, yesterday said it is closing its West Milwaukee printing plant and instead will print all of its Wisconsin papers in Peoria, Illinois. In addition to the Journal Sentinel, the move affects the paper in Green Bay, Appleton, Oshkosh, Manitowoc, and several other smaller communities. Gannett managers say the printing switch should not impact the content of the paper, or what is delivered online.
