The first checks for the victims of the Waukesha Christmas Parade attack are in the mail.
The United for Waukesha Community Fund yesterday said it is going to send over six million-dollars to 560 people who were either hurt in the parade, or who saw the attack. The families of the six people who were killed in the parade will each get 200-thousand-dollars. The rest will be split among the 60 or so who were injured, as well as first responders and some parade watchers. It’s not clear just when everyone will receive their checks.
The United for Waukesha Community Fund says it will continue to accept donations through the end of the year.
