Questions Raised About Waukesha Donations

Questions Raised About Waukesha Donations

There are some questions about just where all of the money for the Waukesha Christmas Parade attack victims is going.

A Milwaukee TV station last night reported that some of the five-point-seven million-dollars raised for parade victims could to local non-profits instead. Anita Busch with the victims’ rights group Victims First said they want to see victims get 100-percent of the donations.  The United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County wants some of the donations, though no one is saying how much. The United Way has a person on the board in Waukesha that will decide where the money is spent. Busch says having someone with a vested interest in the donations deciding how to spend them is a conflict of interest. The United for Waukesha Community Fund is currently deciding where the money will be spent, they will start sending-out checks in two weeks.
