Eau Claire and the Chippewa Valley are getting a break from the snow, but not from the winter weather.
Some areas to our north saw over 20 inches of the white stuff. Here locally, we continue the clean up from our own totals.
Due to the inclement weather that affected the Northwest Region of Wisconsin, State Patrol
Troopers and Inspectors from Spooner and Eau Claire posts responded to 23 vehicle runoffs and 16
property damage crashes between 5:00 pm 2/21 until 6:30 pm 2/22.
Crews were working overnight to clear the roads and travel today will be much smoother than yesterday, but still plan to leave some extra time for yourself as you head out today.
As you likely noticed, the cold is sticking around. It will be bitterly cold to start the day, with a high barely into the teens today. Forecasters say snow will move-in tomorrow. That could leave as much as an inch of new snow behind.
