A Chippewa Falls woman is looking at charges after police say she stole 83-thousand-dollars from a youth basketball organization.
Investigators say the new treasurer at the Cardinal Flight Girls Basketball noticed some discrepancies after taking over last summer. Investigators say it looks like the former treasurer, 54-year-old Lisa Johnson, spent the money on meals, her cell phone bill, and even airplane tickets. Johnson told investigators that she tried to repay whatever money she took from the basketball program, but lost track of everything.
The D.A. in Chippewa Falls is moving ahead with theft charges.
