It could be another two months before the Republican field for governor in Wisconsin is set.
Former Governor Tommy Thompson yesterday said he will decide in April if he’s going to get into this year’s race. Thompson will end his time as UW System President next month. He says he will make a decision after that. Wisconsin’s Republican field is crowded with Rebecca Kleefisch, Kevin Nicholson, and state Rep. Tim Ramthun already in the race.
Thompson was elected governor four times. He left office in 2001 and go work for the George W. Bush Administration.
