Wisconsin’s insurance commissioner led a meeting yesterday to talk about flood insurance and flood preparedness. This is Flood Awareness Week in the state. Leaders say insurance is the only way that most homeowners will be covered if there’s a flood and their homes are damaged. The federal government will pay for public costs, but individual costs are almost entirely reliant on insurance.
