Nearly three-quarters of all Wisconsin towns rely on trucks to bring them their groceries, gas, and just about everything else, but there is a growing shortage of truck drivers.
Lawmakers at the state capitol listened to trucking experts yesterday as part of a push to have the state support the trucking industry. Wisconsin’s Supply Chain Committee is considering a plan to help train, recruit, and in some cases pay bonuses to new truck drivers.
