The Madison Police Department plans to hold several public forums on the possibility of putting body cameras on all officers.
The first forum is Thursday at University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Memorial Union. A second in-person event is scheduled for February 24th and online forums are scheduled for February 17th and March 3rd. Online preregistration is required for the in-person events. The Madison City Council has approved spending 83-thousand dollars on a body cam pilot program but the plan has been delayed until April.
