We are going to have to wait for the final word on ballot drop boxes in Wisconsin.
The state’s Supreme Court on Friday rejected a lawsuit from Rebecca Kleefisch that asked for a decision on whether voters can drop-off their ballots in one of the boxes. Kleefisch is, of course, running for governor.
The split decision means Wisconsin will have to wait until after this month’s primary for the court to decide drop boxes can be used going forward. Conservative justices on the court say the Supreme Court must decide the issue because voters are demanding that someone enforce the state’s election laws.
