Balancing Checkbook Adds Up to New Class?

Kids in Wisconsin high schools could soon be required to take a class on credit cards and savings accounts.

A group of Republican lawmakers are pushing a proposal that would require a lesson in financial literacy before kids can graduate. The class would cover everything from balancing a checking account to the pitfalls of credit cards. Many schools already teach personal finance, but lawmakers want to make it a requirement for all schools.
