Checks or Tax Cuts? Surplus Static Continues

Wisconsin’s governor wants to give you 150-dollars. 

Governor Tony Evers yesterday suggested spending part of the state’s record four billion-dollar surplus on checks for every person in the state.  Democratic lawmakers called a similar plan from former Governor Scott Walker an “election-year bribe,” yesterday Republicans said the same thing about Governor Evers’ plan. 

We will show you different sides so you can decide, as the governor says it makes sense to give people money now, because of the coronavirus.  Republican lawmakers say they’d rather focus on a large tax cut to help the people of Wisconsin instead of 150-dollar checks.
