More people are in the hospital with the coronavirus in Wisconsin than ever before.
The state’s Hospital Association yesterday said two-thousand-278 people are in the hospital with the virus. That is one more than Wisconsin’s previous record-high, set back in November of 2020. The Hospital Association says 488 people are in ICUs across the state. Nearly all of the cases are omicron cases, which for people who are vaccinated is much less severe than previous strains of the coronavirus.
