A small Wisconsin town is honoring Betty White with her own namesake beer.
The Commerce Street Brewery in Mineral Point, in the southwestern part of the state, has had ‘Blonde Betty’ on tap for years. It was a tradition for customers to buy the late actress and comedian a beer so that if she ever visited, there would be free drinks waiting for her. The brewery is letting customers keep up the tradition through January and will donate the proceeds to a charity benefiting animals, which is a cause White loved. Her third husband Allen Ludden grew up and is buried in Mineral Point.
White passed away last week at the age of 99.
