It’s the biggest milestone number yet in Wisconsin’s battle with the coronavirus.
The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday said Wisconsin has now seen over one million coronavirus cases since the outbreak began nearly two years ago. However, no one is saying how many of those cases are in people who’ve tested positive more than once. Since March of 2020 DHS says just over 51 thousand people, or about five percent of those who tested positive, were hospitalized with the virus. In the same nearly two years, DHS says just over 10 thousand people, or one percent of those who tested positive, have died with the virus.
