An equipment violation leads to a 5th OWI for a Chippewa Falls man.
Milton M. Pahl, 37 years of age, from Chippewa Falls, WI has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 5th offense.
On Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at approximately 9:12 p.m., a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation on STH 312 in the City of Eau Claire. The driver, Milton M. Pahl, showed signs of impairment. A subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety testing, showed that Mr. Pahl was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant. Mr. Pahl was arrested and transported to a local hospital for an evidentiary chemical test of his blood, then taken to the Eau Claire County Jail.
Mr. Pahl is being charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant-5th offense, operating after revocation, and failure to install an ignition interlock device (IID).
