The city of Waukesha, Wisconsin, will have to wait for a permanent memorial to the victims of the Christmas Parade tragedy.
Crews will take down the makeshift memorial today. The collection of signs, candles, teddy bears, and other memories started the same day that police say a driver barreled through the parade, killing six and injuring nearly 60 more. Waukesha is hosting a ceremony for the victims today. Crews will then move the memorial to the county’s historical society for storage.
