Hospitals in Madison say they’re close to becoming overwhelmed because of the Omicron coronavirus variant.
University of Wisconsin Health released a statement today saying it’s struggling to deal with the number of patients its seeing. Coronavirus hospitalizations are actually down at Madison hospitals from earlier this month. As of Sunday 110 patients are in Madison and Dane County hospitals with the virus, down from 133 earlier this month.
