While some communities across Wisconsin are booked solid, Eau Claire has plenty of open coronavirus appointments. Public health managers say tests are available at the Pablo Center downtown.
The city/county health department says there is PCR testing from noon until 5 p.m. on weekdays, and antigen testing from noon until 8 p.m. every day of the week. The Pablo Center will be closed for the New Year’s holiday weekend.
There has been a change in guidelines as well.
The CDC is cutting the timeframe from ten days to five for those who test positive for COVID-19 to isolate. On Monday, the agency cut the timeframe to five days, as long as they wear a mask around others for at least five more days.
