There’s a clean-up underway in the Menomonee River in Milwaukee.
Heavy equipment-maker Komatsu yesterday confirmed that its crews spilled 400 gallons of oil into a storm drain that goes into the river last week. Originally the company thought it was just a small spill, but now says it was much larger than first thought. The company says crews are cleaning the oil out of the river. Wisconsin’s DNR and the EPA are monitoring the clean-up effort.
