Another competency review is coming for the man accused of stabbing an Appleton cop.
Troy VanGrinsven’s attorney says a psychiatrist determined he can’t stand trial and probably never will. Outagamie County prosecutors successfully petitioned a judge for a second opinion. VanGrinsven is charged with attempted homicide after police say he charged and stabbed Sergeant Tyrell West last year.
