Lawmakers in Madison may do something very soon to change things at the Wisconsin Elections Commission.
State Senator Steve Nass yesterday said the legislature’s rule making committee should either force the commission to follow the state’s election laws or stop it from issuing bad advice to local election managers. The Elections Commission met yesterday to push back on an audit that found dozens of times when it didn’t follow the law. Nass says the commission’s response shows that it has no clue about what it’s supposed to do. He said voters in Wisconsin should have no confidence in the Elections Commission or its ability to follow the law.
