Milwaukee County prosecutors did not have access to a public safety assessment for the Waukesha Christmas parade suspect.
District Attorney John Chisholm tells county commissioners the PSA hadn’t been uploaded into the file system when Darrell Brooks appeared in court last month. He was accused of running over a woman and given a thousand dollars bail. The DA says an inexperienced prosecutor preparing for another trial made the decision. Brooks is accused of killing five people and injuring dozens more after driving into the parade last week.
