Eau Claire’s small businesses say they saw quite a few shoppers for Small Business Saturday.
Saturday was the day that a lot of communities put an extra emphasis on getting people to show local. The first-ever Wisconsin Makers Market set-up at the Oxford to help bring some face-to-face time with people who’ve mostly sold their things online for the past year or two. Organizer Chelsea Higley said it’s the first of what she hopes will be several chances for small business owners to make connections with new customers.
