Chippewa County firefighters are looking for the cause of the fire that gutted a home in the Town of Wheaton.
The first calls came in at about 11 a.m., and crews from Tilden, Elk Mound, and Howard all responded. Three people were home at the time, but none of them were hurt. Wheaton Fire Chief Adam Blaskowski says the fire started in the garage. The home is a total loss.
