The flag at the Wisconsin Capitol, as well as flags across the rest of the state will fly lower to remember the people killed in the tragedy at Waukesha’s Christmas Parade.
Governor Evers issued an order to lower the flags after five people were killed and dozens more were hurt. Police say someone drove through the crowd yesterday afternoon. There’s no official motive as of yet. Governor Evers says he’s in contact with local officials, and has offered any state help they may need.
On the national level, the White House says President Biden is monitoring the situation and said that his “heart goes out” to everyone involved. Most other local leaders also offered their thoughts and prayers yesterday. Reactions are pouring in following the tragedy at Waukesha’s Christmas parade.
