The Ice Age Trail in Dane County is going to grow.
Dane County Executive Joe Parisi yesterday said they’ve purchased 40 acres of land to expand the trail near the Town of Verona. That would essentially double the trail’s size. Dane County is spending one-point-six million-dollars on the land, while Madison and Verona are each kicking-in about a half-million dollars each. County leaders still have to formally approve the deal.
