Wisconsin colleges and universities with COVID-19 vaccine mandates are reporting far higher vaccination rates than those without.
The Wisconsin State Journal found that the schools with mandates report at least 80 percent of students vaccinated, while other schools are as low as 55 percent. UW-Madison, however, doesn’t have a mandate and has the highest rates in the state, with 95 percent of the student body vaccinated. The rest of the UW system doesn’t have a mandate but is offering seven-thousand-dollar scholarships to 70 students at campuses that had at least a 70 percent rate by October 31st.
