It was three officers wounded, and the suspect in Wauwatosa’s weekend hotel shooting is a felon who should not have had a gun.
Tosa Police say the officers were wounded while checking into what was an unrelated case of shots being fired at the Radisson on Mayfair Road Saturday night. The officers are all recovering, and police say they’re in good spirits. Officers arrested Kenneth Burney after Saturday’s shooting. Prosecutors say Burney has a long criminal history that goes back 15 years, and was out of bond for a felony gun charge at the time of the shooting. Burney was supposed to go to trial on that charge in January.
