The battle over Wisconsin’s new political map is continuing.
The Wisconsin Senate yesterday approved the maps drawn by Republican lawmakers one a party-line vote. Democrats at the Capitol want maps drawn by a commission that shift more seats their way. Republicans say Democrats have seats based in Madison and Milwaukee because that’s where their voters are. The State Assembly is expected to approve the maps on Thursday. It doesn’t matter, though, Governor Evers has promised to veto the Republican maps. That means a court will likely end-up drawing the state’s new political boundaries.
