Kids in Green Bay public schools may no longer be sent home just for coming into close contact with someone who’s tested positive for the coronavirus.
The city’s school board last night said it will talk about changing its coronavirus protocols. Currently, students in close contact with someone who tests positive are sent home for up to ten days. School board president Eric Vanden Heuvel says just 86 students are in isolation because of the virus, but he said over 700 students are in quarantine for close contact. Vanden Heuvel says a decision could come next month.
