Parents across Wisconsin could soon have a better idea as to just how their local school is spending its money.
Governor Tony Evers on Friday signed a law that requires schools and the state to create a website that clearly shows how much money each school in the state gets, and how that money is spent. The information is already available, but it’s not easy for parents to find and decipher. Advocates say knowing where the money is going is the first step to figuring out how to better spend that money on students.
